To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

  1. Student in good standing, in first, second or third year, and enrolled in the Computer Science programme, or enrolled in specialised Computer Science courses.
  2. Must pass all their courses in the year the scholarship is received.
  3. Involved in work that contributes to improving the lives of other Malawians. NOTE: This is important and if it is not included in the application the applicant may not be considered.
  4. Should exhibit leadership qualities and financial need.
  5. Must submit an online application by the deadline (see process below) and participate in an interview if requested.

  7. Assuming there are enough qualified candidates, one male student and one female student will be chosen. In the event of, for example, no qualified female applicants, then only one scholarship will be awarded, to a male student. In this case, extra scholarships may be awarded to female students in the following year(s).
  8. Winners of the scholarship may be asked to help promote the scholarship to future applicants.
